How SunRail Fares Work
SunRail service operates over four zones which are distinguished by county lines:
Costs are determined by the number of zones a rider travels, trip type, and rider type. There is an initial cost of $2.00 to ride SunRail within one zone. When a rider crosses into another zone, there is an additional $1.00 increase per county. Fares for passes are based on how many zones (counties) you travel through.

Ticket Prices
Considering fuel expenses and typical parking fees associated with driving, SunRail one-way and roundtrip tickets present a more cost-effective and convenient alternative for your commute.
SunRail ticket prices for one-way and round-trip options are non-refundable and remain valid for the day of purchase.

* SunRail ticket prices for one-way and round-trip options are non-refundable and remain valid for the day of purchase.
** Upon request by the SunRail conductor or fare inspector, seniors and youth must show proof of age with a government-issued valid ID. Acceptable forms include driver’s license, passport, Medicare card, State ID, or LYNX/Votran youth ID. SunRail 50% reduced fare discounts are applied to tickets and passes for qualifying individuals and cannot be combined with other reduced fares discounts.
*** Children 6 and under ride free with one paid accompanying adult. Limit 3 children per adult.
SunCard Travel Passes
SunCard Travel Passes offer unlimited SunRail rides for 7, 30, or 365 consecutive days from your initial Tap On, with varying costs based on travel between counties or SunRail “zones,” providing substantial savings compared to daily tickets.

SunCard Prepaid Value
Along with Travel Passes, SunCards allow riders to add Prepaid Value to their card.
For individuals who use SunRail less frequently and enjoy the benefits of owning a SunCard, prepaid value stands out as an excellent option.
Riders receive 10% bonus value upon loading their card with prepaid value.
