Does my Transit Account balance expire?

Sí, if a Transit Account has no activity for three years.

It is FDOT policy that SunRail reviews and updates SunRail account records periodically. Florida Statute Section 338.231(3)(c)(http://www.leg.state.fl.us/Statutes/index.cfm?App_mode=Display_Statute&Search_String=&URL=0300-0399/0338/Sections/0338.231.html) requires SunRail to report and transfer the funds in this account to the Florida Bureau of Unclaimed Property if there has been no activity for three years or more.

Cualquiera de las siguientes acciones mantendrá su cuenta activa:

  • log into the app or perform any account activity
  • update your contact information
  • call into the SunRail Customer Support Call Center at (855) 724-5411 or info@sunrail.com

Prepaid balances will be transferred to the State of Florida as unclaimed property. After funds are transferred, claims may be filed using https://www.fltreasurehunt.gov/ or by contacting Claimant Services at the Florida Bureau of Unclaimed Property at 888-258-2253 or 850-413-5555.
